Code of Conduct

Code of Conduct Statement

Last Revised: February 15, 2019

eCampusOntario is proud of its initiatives and is dedicated to providing a positive experience for all attendees, speakers, exhibitors, volunteers, and staff (“participants”). We expect all participants to show respect and courtesy toward one another at all events, including online activities. To that end, all participants are required to agree with the following code of conduct. Organizers will enforce this code throughout the activity or event. We expect cooperation from all participants to help ensure a safe environment for everybody.

We do not tolerate harassment in any form. Harassment includes any behaviour that threatens another person or group or produces an unsafe environment. It includes offensive verbal comments or non-verbal expressions related to gender, gender identity, gender expression, sexual orientation, disability, physical appearance, body size, race, age, religious beliefs, sexual or discriminatory images in public spaces (including online), deliberate intimidation, stalking, following, harassing photography or recording, sustained disruption of talks or other events, inappropriate physical contact, and unwelcome sexual attention.

If a participant engages in harassing behaviour, the activity or event organizers may take any action they deem appropriate, including warning the offender or expulsion from the conference with no refund.

If at any time you feel that you have been harassed or that this code of conduct has been breached, please report it to eCampusOntario staff. Staff will be happy to help participants contact venue security or local law enforcement, provide escorts, or otherwise assist those experiencing harassment to feel safe for the duration of the activity or event. We value your attendance.
