2020-21 Annual Report: Expanding Access to Learning

eCampusOntario is pleased to announce the publication of our 2020-21 Annual Report: Expanding Access to Learning.

The past year has been exceptional in many ways, including the dedication, innovation and collaboration that has been witnessed across the postsecondary sector. This year’s Annual Report shines a light on our collective successes in embracing the unexpected shift to an almost entirely digital learning landscape, practically overnight.

In the report you’ll learn about the Virtual Learning Strategy (VLS), made possible by an historic investment from the Ontario Government, and entrusted to eCampusOntario to lead the growth and advancement in virtual learning across the postsecondary sector.

Read stories about advancement in a remarkable year, such as the exponential growth of Open Library and the launch of a new H5P Studio. Our SXD Lab launched research to capture in real-time the realities of extended online learning. Reliance on virtual platforms also meant increased access and inclusion for more learners and allowed us to customize programs such as Ontario Extend resulting in transformative growth.

We also proudly welcomed two Indigenous Institutes and a French-language university as members, and look forward to expanding in both of these areas.
